Kilbourn Reservoir Park Project Update

Removal of the internal structure of the Kilbourn Reservoir is nearly complete. A wrecking crew continues to
demolish the concrete cap and the interior walls of the reservoir. The concrete cap and columns are approximately
90% demolished. There remains a large volume of concrete to be crushed and stripped of metal and rebar.
The areas of the excavation were backfilled with the existing soil that had been removed. The concrete from the
excavation will be used in the reservoir as backfill. Work will soon begin on grading in the area west of the
reservoir access path and east of the baseball diamond area and the construction access road.
